Response Vehicles:

ALS Unit:
Our front line Dodge Ambulances carry state of the art equipment to provide our citizens with Full Advanced Life Support Services. Including: 12 and 15 Lead Cardiac monitoring with transmission capability to surrounding hospitals. “Hypothermic cooling“ of cardiac arrest patients with ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation) and “RSI” (rapid sequence induction) of difficult airways.

Unit 301:
Special Operations Response/Command Vehicle
This vehicle is operated by the Special Operations Coordinator and is equipped for response to Specialized Rescue situations and can be utilized as an onsite Mobile Command Post.




Unit 304:
Special Operations Response/Command Vehicle
This vehicle is operated by the Operations Manager and is equipped for response to Specialized Rescue situations and can be utilized as an onsite Mobile Command Post.






Unit 313:
Special Operations Response/Command Vehicle
This vehicle is operated by the Supervisor. It is used for daily EMS Supervison, it is also equipped for response to Specialized Rescue situations and can be utilized as an onsite Mobile Command Post.






Unit 316:
Special Operations Response/Command Vehicle
This vehicle is operated by the Director and is equipped for response to Specialized Rescue situations and can be utilized as an onsite Mobile Command Post.





Unit 311 QRV Rescue:
This unit is equipped as an initial response vehicle for REHAB, Rope Rescue, Water Rescue and Search & Rescue.





Special Operations Response/Command Vehicle:
This unit is equipped to respond to both Rescue (including: Swift Water, Rope, Search & Rescue) and Multi Casualty Incidents.






Power, Lighting and REHAB Trailer:
This trailer is utilized for Power, Lighting and REHAB. It is equipped with a top mount 360 degree rotating light tower, corner mounted lighting, 15,000 Kw. Generator, 40,000 BTU propane heaters, mist fans, medical surge beds and an assortment of REHAB supplies.


UASI ( Urban Area Security Initiative) Trailer:
We are 1 of 9 counties from the Charlotte Area Security Initiative, Lancaster County EMS received a 24’ fully equipped Disaster Trailer. The trailer was funded by a grant from the (UASI) Urban Area Security Initiative, a part of the Department of Homeland Security. The trailer will be used locally to respond to Multi-patient incidents including: Motor vehicle accidents, Explosions, Building collapses, or any incident that would overwhelm the supplies and equipment on 2 or more Ambulances. It will also be available to respond to Mutual Aid requests from other counties and will respond on request to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area for use during large scale/or disaster situations. The trailer is equipped with an assortment of personal protective and medical supplies. Including: Long spine boards, bandaging and splinting supplies, protective tyvec suits, a 15,000 kw. portable generator, and tri-pod lighting, just to name a few items.


"Andy The Ambulance"
Andy the Ambulance is our remote-controlled, talking robot ambulance which comes out to speak with young children about safety effective way to teach hazard awareness, injury prevention, and 9-1-1. The best age group for Andy is 3-5 years old. Andy visits pre-school kindergarten classes, and events to
teach simple safety messages such as wearing bike helmets and how to call 9-1-1.
